A few weeks back I photographed Ben and Nicole’s wedding at the Punta Norte Resort located in Summerland, BC.

The Punta Norte Resort is a hidden gem which is situated just off the highway between Kelowna and Penticton. Once you enter the property you feel as if you have been transported to a remote town in Mexico; however, once you see the lake, you know you are in BC. The scenery is breath taking and makes me excited for the weddings I have booked in the Okanagan for the 2016 wedding season. I love the drive up to Kelowna and it make me feel as if I’m going on vacation.

Taking photos of Ben and Nicole was so much fun. There was an endless amount of unique photo areas around the resort. I’m sure if I had more daylight, I would of photographed out there for hours on end! One of my favorite spots was just at the bottom of some stairs. The high dynamic range made for some really dramatic photos. The high contrast makes me feel like the images capture more emotion and depth. I also really like the wide shots of the bride and groom just outside the entrance of the resort. Wide angle shots and quickly becoming one of my top 5 images to capture at weddings.
