At the beginning of June, I photographed Vickie and Emmanuel’s beautiful wedding at Mayfair Golf Course in Richmond, BC. The day started out at the Hard Rock Casino where I took getting ready photos of Vickie. I then headed to the church in Vancouver which will followed by the reception at Mayfair Golf Course.

Many golf courses I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings at, have been beautiful; however, they don’t always offer shady spots for photos. I often have to do photos at other locations because I don’t want the bride and groom to be in the direct sunlight the entire time. Direct sunlight causes harsh shadows on the subjects face, unless you are using off camera flash. On the upside, Mayfair Golf Course had a few different shady spots that worked out for photos. My favorite spot was by the parking lot – one side of the building has beautiful flowers and vines. If you take photos just at Sunset, it is amazing!!!

The room Emmanuel and Vickie had their reception in was so nice! There where floor to ceiling windows on two of the walls. The lighting was amazing for photos and watching the sunset at dinner set the mood. The food really impressed me as well. There was such a large, diverse arrangement of food: fresh cheese, pan fried scallops, shrimp, pasta and so much more. So good!
