This past September I got to photograph a lovely family! Not only was this little one adorable, his parents were gorgeous! They were very photogenic and not that much posing and direction was needed. They were naturals!
In September, I also upgraded my Canon 50mm 1.4 lens to a 50mm 1.2 lens. There was a huge price difference so I was a little hesitant about buying it. After reading a lot of articles on line, I took the leap and bought it. When I took the lens out for a test drive, I was so impressed. The sharpness and clarity was far superior to the 50mm 1.4. When I would take photos with my 50mm 1.4, my images were not as sharp as I wanted when using an aperture of 2.8 or larger. I even spent the money and had my lens calibrated because I thought something was wrong with it. The 50mm 1.2 doesn’t have this issue at all. I can easily shoot and 1.2 and get a sharp image out of it! I’m so glad I took the leap and bought this lens!
If I knew more about the 50mm 1.2 a few years ago, I would not have ever bought the 1.4. I would have stuck with the 50mm 1.8 and saved until I had enough money to buy the 1.2. In my opinion, there is not that much difference between the 50mm 1.4 and 1.8. Yes, the 1.4 is a little heavier and built better but the image quality is pretty much the same.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the pics!
