Tri-City Maternity Photographer

About a month ago, I noticed my collection of maternity dresses have really added up. Many woman don`t know that I supply dresses for maternity shoots so I thought I`d arrange a shoot to showcase of few of my favourites.

As many of you know, the Canadian dollar is not very good at the moment so ordering dresses from the popular US maternity shops isn’t really ideal. I have collected dresses locally atThe Bay, Art Knapps, Ricki`s and bridal stores. When US or international stores have some good sales, I have bought dresses from ASOS, Zaful and a few from some amazing ETSY shops. Most of the dresses I own are stretchy and have high waist lines to make room for baby bumps and different body shapes. Some of the dresses below are clamped in the back to give the best fit for the mom to be.

For the location, I wanted to showcase something a little softer than just studio photos. I thought, what better place to do than my bedroom. I don`t have a lot in my room to begin with so I didn`t really have to change much. I removed some paintings from the walls, my duvet and curtains. I put up some white curtains and a decorated the bed and a white bedspread. The curtains and bedspread where in my closet forever from when I experimented with boudoir photography in school. I`m so glad I didn`t get rid of them because they worked out so well for the shoot.

All the dresses below are available for maternity sessions. I also have 5-10 more that are not shown here.
