Last November, I photographed Ryan and Carly’s Wedding at the Pipe Shop in North Vancouver.
Carly and Ryan got married on November 19th, 2016. I was little afraid of what the weather was going to be like, considering November is one of the rainiest months, but it held out for us.
My assistant Susie and I started the day out by taking getting ready photos at the Pinnacle Hotel in Lonsdale Quay. The Christmas tree was set up in the lobby of the hotel and it felt like magic was in the air. I was also 6 months pregnant at the time so the ‘magic’ I was feeling may have been an overdose of hormones, lol.
After getting ready photos, we all headed to the pier for the first look. It was the perfect setting for Carly and Ryan to lock eyes on one another. With the city in the background and the light mist off the ocean in the air, it was the perfect moment.
We then proceeded with bridal portraits which were a lot of fun to photograph. Downtown Vancouver, the surrounding buildings and the ocean where perfect backdrops for photos.
After the bridal portraits were completed we all went inside the venue for the ceremony. Â The ceremony and reception took place at the Pipe Shop in North Vancouver. The Pipe Shop is simply amazing. For a fall wedding, this is definitely my top choice out of any other wedding venue I have photographed at. It provides beautiful natural light even on a dark, wet day. Perfect for a November weddings.
After the ceremony, dinner, speeches, games and dancing followed. The dancing was a lot of fun to photograph because everyone was given glow sticks to dance with. It definitely set a fun and memorable mood.
Carly and Ryan are coming up to there first wedding anniversary and I wish them all the best.
Enjoy
