At the end of March I photographed a lovely wedding in Langley. The couple had their first look on a beautiful property in Langley and then went to the historic Murrayville Community Hall for their ceremony and reception.

Murrayville Hall is a Historic building in Langley and has been serving the community since 1928. There was tones of space for moving around which I love.

The wedding was intimate and full of family and friends. The groom was originally from Jamaica so there was some tasty Jamaican food at the wedding.

I really enjoy weddings that are smaller is size. A smaller wedding offers a sense of intimacy and connection that can be difficult to achieve with a large crowd. It allows the couple to truly be present with each guest, making the celebration feel more like a meaningful gathering of loved ones rather than a formal event. Generally there are fewer logistics to manage, the day tends to unfold more naturally and calmly, giving everyone—especially the couple—space to breathe and enjoy each moment. The atmosphere is often warmer and more personal, encouraging heartfelt conversations, laughter, and spontaneous joy. Creatively, it opens the door to thoughtful details and personal touches that might be impractical on a larger scale, whether that’s in the form of a custom dinner menu, handwritten notes, or a venue that wouldn’t work with 200 people. Emotionally and aesthetically, it becomes less about production and more about presence, which can make the experience more memorable.

Along with the bride and groom there son joined in with all the fun and excitement of the day. I did his newborn photos so it was nice seeing how much he had grown.

Overall it was a memorable wedding and can’t wait for more in 2025.
