At the beginning of August, I photographed Jon and Aimee’s Wedding Reception in Pitt Meadows, BC.
A few months prior to their reception, Jon and Aimee had their ceremony/dinner in Mexico. The wedding took place at Puerta Dream Adventuras which is situated between Tulum and Cancun. The resort was beautiful and overall, it was such an amazing experience photographing in Mexico. The lighting, warm tones and local environment was an exciting change from the weddings I usually photograph in the Greater Vancouver area. Check out Jon and Aimee’s Mexico Wedding.
Jon and Aimee’s Reception was at South Bonson Community Centre, which is a popular hall to get married. It is located in Osprey Village which is a new community in Pitt Meadows. This beautiful community reminds me of a smaller Fort Langley. The design of the houses and shops are a “reinterpretation of a classic village boulevard”. The hall is located at the end of the shops and close to the river. If you are looking for a rustic venue, it is defiantly a great place to consider!
The hall was decorated in the same coral and blue colours as the wedding in Mexico. The centre pieces were large glass bowls filled with sea shells and finalized with a candle. The cake and cupcakes were beach inspired. They were decorated with coral and aqua accents and topped with edible shells. Delicious!
The surprise the topped the evening was the bag pipe player. The bride was born in Scotland so it was a nice way to bring a little heritage and culture to the wedding.
Thanks and enjoy the pics.
