On August 29th, 2015 I photographed Jonas and Paula’s lovely wedding in Vancouver.
As some of you may remember, it was very windy on August 29th and many venues around the lower mainland lost power. Some weddings were actually canceled due to the weather and power outages. Luckily, the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, where the reception took place, had power and the whole day turned out beautiful.
The getting ready photos took place at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. The rooms were gorgeous and had lots of natural light spilling in, which was amazing for photos.
We then all proceeded to the ceremony, which was at St. Augustine’s Church. This church is an pretty ceremony location. The lighting was perfect and architecture of the building was extraordinary.
After the ceremony, we went to Stanley Park for family and bridal portraits. It took a while to get into the park because of all the fallen trees but after 45 minutes of waiting, the park opened and I was able to get lots of photos. So lucky!
The reception was in the Rosewood Hotel Georgia in one of their beautiful Ballrooms. When I first stepped into the Ballroom, I was blown away. It looked like something from a Wedding Magazine. Paula, the Bride, is a graphic designer and created a custom Monogram for her wedding that was printed on table settings and guest gifts. She is very talented! During the reception, there was delicious food, live music, lots of guests from far and wide and laughter that filled the Ballroom.
