When I found out I was pregnant back in May of 2016, I knew there was one wedding I would be unable to photograph. Sigh! It is incredibly difficult for me not to work and be busy photographing. I love what I do and even to go a week without photographing, I get withdrawal. So, when I realized I would not be able to do Tanessa and Isaiah’s wedding this January, I was upset. On the other hand, I’m having my first baby soon and I’m ecstatic. I will be welcoming a baby girl into this world mid January and she will be photographed every day, lol. The Engagement Session
Even though I’m unable to photograph Tanessa and Isaiah’s wedding, I was given the opportunity to do their engagement photos. I took the lovely couple to one of my favourite photo locations, which is also very popular among other wedding photographers – Whytecliff Park. This park has so many spots that are breathtaking for photos: cliffs, driftwood, the ocean, the beach and forest. Tanessa, Isaiah and I walked around, taking in all the beautiful areas of the park. I was able capture their love they have for each other with lots of beautiful backdrops.
One thing to keep in mind about Whytecliff Park is due to its popularity, I have run into some problems in the past. This location is very popular for filming. There has been numerous times when I have gone there and it is very congested with lighting equipment, props, cars, crew and actors. It is also the main beach for scuba diving training. Taking photos near the beach when there are 15-20 divers coming out of the water can be a little problematic. If you or your photographer are planning of taking wedding photos at Whytecliff Park, I would call the City of West Vancouver and ask about park availability.
Enjoy the photos.
