Last summer I photographed an amazing lady and her baby bump. I was newly pregnant at the time so it was nice talking with a woman who was near the end of her pregnancy. I found out during the session that she was a nurse which gave me the opportunity to ask her pregnancy questions, lol.
The photos were taken at Barnet Marine Park, which is one of my favorite locations. We walked around the park and made use of the beautiful backdrops. I also got to dress this lovely lady up is some of my maternity dresses. She looked stunning in all the dresses.
My favourite images of the session were the silhouette shots. The old, decaying dock in the backdrop was a perfection addition to the image as well. I love old structures and architecture in photos. Too bad there wasn’t more of this type of thing in the Greater Vancouver Area.
Spring Maternity Sessions
As the days are getting longer and I see green buds emerging from the ground, I’m getting very excited for the spring maternity sessions I have booked. It also mean that Cherry Blossom season is close by which I’m looking forward too. If you are pregnant and looking to get photos done in March and at the beginning of April, the cherry blossoms are a beautiful backdrop. Some of my favourite locations for Cherry Blossoms are Queen’s Park in New Westminster, Burnaby Mountain Park and at Hastings and Cliff Ave. Check out the following link for other Cherry Blossom areas – https://www.tourismvancouver.com/activities/sightseeing/cherry-blossoms/
One thing to keep in mind about the Cherry Bloosoms is that they are not here for very long. Once they are fully bloomed, they are gone after one rain fall. It is better to plan a photo session early on in the season rather then waiting until mid to late April.
Thanks and enjoy!
