I photographed the beautiful Shelly and her family at Pitt Lake at the end of March. March was mostly rain, so I was really happy that the weather cooperated with us.

For Shelly’s session we incorporated a lot of family shots but I glammed her up for some images as well. Shelly choose 2 dresses from my collection to wear. The red dress, which is what I wore in my maternity photos, is made by Sew Trendy. I love this dress so much. It is form fitting which show cases the baby bump perfectly.  The blue dress is not a maternity dress but worked well on Shelly. I bought the navy blue dress from one of my favourite stores of all time, Art Knapps. For those who know Art Knapps, it is not just a gardening store. It has some amazing clothes, accessories and household items. I shop at this store a lot.

Location

For the location, I choose Pitt Lake. Pitt Lake has long grass, water and mountains making it a prime area for photos. It is a good time to do photos there because it isn’t crazy busy yet. Sometimes in the summer, there are way to many boaters  to do photos.

Shelly will be expecting her 3rd little one soon. Can’t wait to take photos of him or her.
