WHEN SHOULD I DO MY OUTDOOR FAMILY SESSION?

WINTER - If  you have young kids, I would advise against doing an outdoor session in the winter. The weather is generally rainy and cold which may make some kids uncomfortable and grumpy,  

SPRING - Lots of green leaves, cherry blossoms and new flowers blooming. Warmer weather and generally not too hot. If you want those sunset shots, take into consideration what time the sun sets at and when your kids go to bed. April and May may better if you have kids with early bed times. 

SUMMER - The beaches and lakes may be busy so a long grass field or private location may be best. The sun doesn't set till super late so take that into consideration if you want that dreamy glow in your photos. Most end of June and July sessions are scheduled late if you want the sun set. 

FALL - This is my favourite time of year cause of all the colours. Cooler weather and the sun sets earlier. 

WHAT TO WEAR?
Google is your friend if you want to some family outfit choices. Just avoid tight clothing, large graphic prints, shiny material, running shoes, thin stripes and  busy prints. 

I offer both studio and outdoor family sessions. 

Outdoor sessions can happen anywhere. If you have an idea of what backdrops and scenery you like in your photos, give me your list and I will provide some locations. 

Outdoor family Sessions are best between March and October. There is more light and the weather is warmer.  Take into consideration, if you like water in your photos, July and August will most likely not work as lakes and beaches get very busy. 

Studio sessions are offered year round. I have lots of props and backdrops that can be used for these session. I even have a lifestyle bed set in studio that can be used. 

Studio session are limited to 10 people as my backdrops are only made so big. Any large groups are advised to do an outside session.
