SLEEPY? Most of the images I’ll be shooting work best if the baby is in a deep sleep. To encourage this, try to keep baby awake 1-2 hours before the photo session.
HUNGRY? A well fed baby is a happy baby! Please feed and burp baby right before our session to ensure a happy, sleepy (“milk drunk”) baby. I’ll also be more than happy to take as many breaks as needed.
WHAT TO WEAR FOR PARENT AND SIBLING PHOTOS? Keep it simple. Neutrals are great! Throw in a little color if you’d like, but skip the busy patterns. Steer clear of logos and stripes! Compliment each other but do not match. Keep clothes loose and non constricting. I want you to be comfortable when sitting and laying down.
WHAT TO BRING? Please bring extra diapers, wipes, a pacifier if you are using one and extra formula if you are not breastfeeding.
SIBLINGS & PETS? If you are bringing a young toddler to the session, I highly recommend taking he or she out after family and sibling photos. Newborn sessions require a calm and quiet atmosphere. Some toddlers may disrupt the photo taking process if they are noisy. Pets are allowed if they are well trained. 
 Most importantly remember this is a special day and try to relax!  I can’t wait to meet your new little nugget!   

Studio newborn sessions take place at my studio in Surrey. I have lots of props that I use for these sessions. These sessions take longer than lifestyle sessions because it requires time and care to get baby in those cute little positions. Professional studio lighting is used for these sessions.
