At the beginning of July, I got the opportunity to photograph Tim and Jessica’s wedding at one of my favourite parks in the Greater Vancouver Area – Barnet Marine Park.
Tim and Jessica had their ceremony at Barnet Marine Park which is literally one of my all-time favourite locations to photograph at. There are so many different backdrops you can use for photos: the ocean, mountains, tall trees, train tracks, an overpass and old cement structures that used to be part of an old mill. There is a giant loop I have walked out several times, where you hit all the good areas of the park and end back up near the parking lot. It is the “perfect” photo walk!
After taking photos at Barnet Marine Park we headed to Old Orchard Hall for the reception. Barnet Marine Park faced the north side of Burrard Inlet and Old Orchard Hall faced the south side of the inlet. Overall, we got a great view of the ocean, Port Moody and Burnaby.
Old Orchard Hall is a lovely hall with high ceilings, wood beams and a deck with a great view. Just down from the hall there is a small public beach, which made for some wonderful pictures at sunset.
In all, Tim and Jessica’s wedding was beautiful. I loved all the rustic details of the wedding and enjoyed taking photos at such great locations.
Congrats to the happy couple!
